Members of
the Finnish Dramatists’ Union write across a wide variety of media. In the
constantly changing world we make sure that a writer receives fair
compensation for his or her work and retains all moral rights to it
regardless of whether they are writing for the stage, film, multimedia or
any other format.
Theatre
Association
of Finnish Theatres The Association of Finnish Theatres, founded in
1922, is an interest and employer organisation of Finnish professional
theatres. They work towards ensuring the preconditions needed for the
functioning of their member theatres and towards facilitating the
production of high-quality theatre in Finland.
Union of Finnish
Amateur Theatres A national cultural organisation with over 550
member theatres.
Finnish Theatre Information Centre TINFO,
the Finnish Theatre Information Centre, was established to meet the
growing need for information about theatre in both the Finnish and the
international markets, as well as to facilitate international interaction
and cooperation on the field.
Film
Union
of Finnish Film Producers The union’s aims are to promote the
shared aims of Finnish film producers and to oversee their professional,
financial and legal rights.
Finnish Film Foundation The
Finnish Film Foundation’s task is to support and develop Finnish film
production, distribution and exhibition. They are an independent
foundation which is supervised by the Department for Cultural Policy in
the Ministry of Education.
Television and
Radio
YLE - Finnish Broadcasting Company The
Finnish Dramatists’ Union and YLE negotiate contracts that cover
screenplays, plays and sketches developed for television or radio.
